Key Risks in PFI Projects

Some of the key risks that bankers may tell you are:-

  1. Revenue risk – is there any minimum volume guarantee?
  2. Technology risk – is it proven in the region?
  3. Promoter risk – do they have a track record?

Mitigating the above risks to the satisfaction of the bankers would be the tipping point on whether the private finance initiative (PFI) project will get the financing it requires.
